What a man
This year, two years old was celebrated at our house in a big way! After hearing countless times at the grocery store, “What’s her name?” I figured it was high time for a MAN PARTY! I know, I know…a simple hair cut would probably do the trick, but I love his silky, red waves!
I got the idea on this blog a while back and thought it looked so fun. And with the help of my amazing sisters and mother, everything went without a hitch. Most importantly, the man of the hour had a great time as well.
Of course, he’ll use any excuse to get to wear his fedora.

Would you believe that all these neck ties (minus four) came from my dad?

Chocolate/buttercream, vanilla/buttercream, chocolate/peanutbutter, and vanilla/peanut butter cupcakes! My sister’s secret frosting recipe is the bomb diggity. If you haven’t tried it, you’re missing out.

Chocolate mustache suckers and white chocolate dominos for the guests.

They were so much cuter on the table than smeared into the rug and ottoman. But, totally worth it!

This man especially enjoyed himself. We had to interrupt his game of chess to get this photo.

The gift opening was much more special for the birthday boy this year. He “Ohhhhhhh"ed over every present and card. Such a gentleman.

“Shoooooooooooes!” He loves them. Takes after his dad.

The candles were blown with such dignity and style.

I’ll go out on a limb and say that fun was had by all!
Thanks to everyone who made my littlest redhead’s day so special. And thanks to my sweet niece for offering her candid party shots for this blog and to our amazing photographer friend, Caleb, for taking the posed “framed” portraits.
As for next year….McDonald’s is sounding pretty durn good about right now.

I’m jealous of the fedora. I cannot find one that fits my melon head! Since me and him have the same birthday, next year we should share parties…I’m pretty sure I love everything a 3 year old would.

Mer, it looks like you ALL had a great time—what a blowout! I’m sure you and your sisters should write a book about party themes. Amazing!

Meredith! Soooo weird seeing someone you know on a blog you read. I saw this on ohdeedoe and first noticed Clinton, OK, which is weird enough in itself but then Meredith and Jason and then the link to Smitty Baby. Like I said, sooo weird!
Cute, cute party! And looks like you have a pretty amazing place—where in Clinton are there lofts? That’s just what it looks like, anyway. Hope you guys are doing well!
